    It is great to see the cream of the world’s pipe band side drummers going toe to toe, with combined musical excellence…to achieve the standards of these top echelon competitors, would truely take special talent and the best part of a life time to perfect….there is no other form of drumming or any other drummers in any other discipline who would come in a bulls roar of these guys!!

    How do pick the winner?? How much does personal bias and opinion come into it?? The top six were all supburb…with different styles to boot…I really like Gordon Brown as a drummer, loved his MSR (very worthy winner), Eric Ward is a dynamite player, but just didn’t quite like his choice of music so much..Steven is just as gifted and well, you can never discount the great Jim Kilpatrick…a real master. So glad this was made available for viewing and sincerely hope that it continues year by year. Well done.
